Cat Application

Our process is built around what is best for our cats. In general we take in senior cats, adult cats, mama’s with kittens and kittens who need a litter! Our cats go directly to loving foster homes were their specific needs are addressed and taken care of. ALL of our cats go to the vet within two weeks of them joining LSR. Kittens follow a specific timeline for vet visits which is decided by our Medical Team at LSR.

We will continually send out updates on cats and update their bio pages. If you have any questions please use the Contact us form!

If you're ready to adopt please fill out the application below at your earliest convenience. We do prioritize by order of apps, we will always be transparent with how many apps we have. It is not an endlessly open process, if we feel the home is a good fit we will proceed. We will allow multiple applications to meet the given cat or kitten. We only place cats in a home that would be best for them.

Yes, that means if a quieter home is available than yours we are more likely to choose that if it is right for the cat. Same in any other direction that there might be a broad spectrum mismatch– despite how cute, or adorable, or anything. This process is built around the cat’s needs and what is best for the cat.

We require all kittens to be adopted into PAIRS. If kittens are already bonded, they will be posted together on Petfinder. This means they will need to be adopted together. If kittens are posted individually, they can be adopted with any of their siblings! This will be something the Cat Foster Coordinators can help you with once they receive your application!

Our fee structure for cats is:

Senior cats over 10  are $100
Mature Cats (7-10yrs) are $150

Finally, LSR gives you continuous and constant support throughout the cats’ lifetime if ever needed! Whether it's trying to understand how to introduce a new pet to the house, behavioral issues, medical issues if you're looking for second opinions we can share what resources we do have! Our volunteers collectively have multiple lifetimes of experience with cats and dogs to help our pets succeed!
